We are honored to announce that our very own Dr.Ebtissam Farid, Co-founder of ENCODE was among the jury members at Tamayouz Excellence Award, Women In Architecture And Construction Award 2019.
The jury members met in Alexandria, Egypt from 28 August to 29 August to select the shortlist and determine the winners. The meeting was hosted by Tamayouz Excellence Award, the Society of Egyptian Architects and The Knowledge Hub Universities.
The jury members this year were Palestinian architect, author, and academic Suad Amiry; Palestinian architect and academic Nadia Habash; Egyptian architect and academic Dr. Soheir Hawas; and Egyptian architect and academic Dr. Ebtissam Moustapha.
Following the private jury meeting which selected the winners of Tamayouz's Women in Architecture and Construction Award, Tamayouz Excellence Award has partnered with the Society of Egyptian Architects SEA17 and The Knowledge Hub Universities to host a 'Women in Art, Architecture and Culture' event on 29 August 2019 at Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria, Egypt.
The public panel talk involved the jury members, who discussed their work in an individual presentation. The judges also spoke together on challenges they've faced in their professional life, strategies for overcoming them and other topics related to working as women in their fields. The event also revealed the shortlist for the Women in Architecture and Construction Award.
After winners announcement, Tamayouz Excellence Award welcomed hundreds of architects, artists and public figures to celebrate the eighth cycle of the Tamayouz annual award ceremony in Amman, Jordan.
